“When you have lost your inns, drown your empty selves, for you will have lost the last of England"

Hilaire Belloch, preface to The Four Men, 1911

About us

Today Phipps NBC ales and stout can once again be found in numerous pubs and clubs across our region, turning back the hands of time with every pint pulled.

Our beers are  brewed from the original recipes, under the supervision of original Phipps NBC Bridge St. men, by our partners at the Grainstore Brewery in Rutland.

In 2004  brothers Alaric and Quentin Neville started work on relaunching Phipps NBC beers to the East Midlands pub trade. After four years research and  the support of several key former employees of Phipps NBC the dream became a reality.

We also would like to thank members of the Phipps  and Ratliffe families for their time, effort and encouragement.
